ANYONE APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP TO BURNABY ARCHERS MUST MAKE THEMSELVES FULLY AWARE OF THE CLUB RULES. THESE CAN BE FOUND ON THE RULES OF CONDUCT and ETIQUETTE, AND RANGE RULES ON THIS WEBSITE. THEY ARE ALSO POSTED AT THE FIELD.

RENEWING and NEW APPLICANTS
Applications and Payments will open for submission March 1st, 2025. The membership is valid from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
Applications and payments will ONLY be accepted and processed on-line.
Application and payments WILL NOT be accepted at the field.
The membership Renewal and Intakes processes will follow the same procedure as in prior years. (see following sections)
LOCKS will be changed early a.m. on April 5th, 2025
The membership fee for 2025-2026 is:
$110 / individual
$220 / family (living in the same household)
**Note** family members must be 10 years and older. If under 10, refer to the Burnaby Archers JOP (Junior Olympic Program) on this website
RENEWING MEMBERS
1. Complete the on-line Application and SUBMIT (please only submit it once!)
2. Make an on-line fee payment via Pay Pal (PayPal will send you a receipt and you do not need a PayPal account to make the payment) Application and Payment links are the bottom of this page
3. Go to the field during any posted date and time on the 'Schedule' tab on this website
4. You MUST bring your old key and badge to the field ($15 for lost key. CASH only)
Renewals will be completed in alphabetical order according to LAST name on the following dates:
Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6
9:00-10:00am A -H
10:00-11:00am I-P
11:00-11:30am Q-Z
Wednesday April 16
5:30-6:30pm A-M
6:30-7:30pm N-Z
**If your last membership was 2021-2022 or prior, you are considered a NEW applicant and will have to go through the New Member Intake process**. Check the 'NEW' member box on the application.

NEW APPLICANTS
1. Complete the on-line Application and SUBMIT (please only submit it once!)

3. After we have processed your application and payment you will receive an email from Burnaby Archers with your date and time for your orientation
4. Go to the field on your assigned date and time (Rain or Shine)
5. Meet at the first picnic table with the others in your assigned group
6. You will undergo a 20 minute safety orientation and then demonstrate you can proficiently shoot three arrows into a 20 meter target using your own equipment and unassisted. The orientation will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes
7. Once you have successfully shot all 3 arrows, you will be given a new badge, membership number, term sticker and key (If you are unsuccessful, you can choose to come back and try again, OR, we can issue you a refund)
NOTE
a) Applications and payments CANNOT be processed at the field
b) You cannot just show up NO EXCEPTIONS
c) If you cannot make your assigned date and time, email burnabyarcherspresident@gmail right away so we can re-schedule you and offer the spot to another applicant
d) Renewals and Intakes are scheduled at the availability of Board members and volunteers. Please be flexible and patient. Do not email asking if your application has been received! Do not email asking for your date and time. Doing individual intakes is not possible!

REPORT A CONCERN
If you see any suspicious or worrisome behaviour at the field e.g. loitering, damaging property, or just feel uneasy about using the field for any other reason - you can call 604-294-7200 City of Burnaby right away. They will often have Park Patrols and Service trucks near the area and they will come as quickly as possible. Phone Number for the Park Patrol is posted on the Notice Board at the field. If however, it’s an Emergency - call 911 right away !
